Cross Country Championships

Location:
Freestone Park. Freestone park is located on Lindsey Road, between Guadalupe and Elliot Road in Gilbert Arizona. Busses are not allowed to park in the first parking lot entrance off of Juniper.
Time Schedule:
12:00 pm Course open for warm up
1:00 pm Short coaches meeting
1:30 pm Central Region Girls
2:00 pm Central Region Boys
2:30 pm Fiesta Region Girls
3:00 pm Fiesta Region Boys
3:30 pm East Valley Region Girls (Marcos)
4:00 pm East Valley Region Boys (Marcos)
Awards for the Central Region will begin at 3:00 PM
Awards for the Fiesta Region will begin at 4:00 PM
Awards for the East Valley Region will begin at 5:00 PM
Medals will be awarded to the top ten in each region.
Course:
The course will be the old state course with the start and finish in the water retention/soccer field. The length is 5KM and the course is grass, granite and some asphalt and sidewalk. Maps will be available at check in.
Region Entries:
Each team must designate up to seven runners and submit entries to Dave Shapiro ( Shapiro.dave@chandler.k12.az.us ). Entry deadline is Thursday, October 22. Changes to your entries will be allowed at check in. Email entries should include FULL NAME and grade in school.
State Entries:
All 5A Entries for the State Cross Country Championships are to be made on line at www.athletic.net. Deadline for entries is Monday, November 2, 2009 by 12:00 PM. For time schedule and more information on the state meet visit www.aiaonline.org and scroll through the athletic tab button and tournament guides.
